I really like the list from Andreas Micheel. Martin Stark must have been really afraid of Items :D. I wonder if he has a good matchup against the Red Light District Decks?
Anyways Congratulation!
this is the correct play to win the game, but the question is how to save dragon archer from dying, not how to win.
i'm pretty sure the solution they are asking for is:
flip noble sac > for your surplus soldier on to pogo bear.
opp responds with hide-away
you respond with skin suit.
skin suit resolves, pogo hide-away resolves, then YOUR noble sac resolves giving you 1 resource in soldier to hideaway before opponents sac resolves.
HOWEVER while this keeps dragon archer on the table he loses his character type. loosing skin suits effect so he cant turn back into a character anymore, hes just a card with no type in play, not a char/item, nothing. thus losing you the game.
Flip up your noble sacrifice for your dragon and his bear, he pays 1 to remove character type, resolution => soldier and dragon dies, you attack with your soldier vs a tapped bear with essence for +2 attack for the game
I'm trying, but it takes time and experience.
it will not fizzle because costs have been paid when the tatic was played. i picked the two characters. even if one is not there for whatever reason you still do all the effects you can. stop thinking magic.
I will Noble Sacrifice my Surplus Soldier for my oponent's Surplus Soldier. My Noble Sacrifice will resolve earlier, leaving my oponent without the character to satisfy costs of Noble Sacrifice and it will fizzle.
The top 8 draft breakdown is not correct, I played Hall of Great Justice in the top 8 Draft. It probably was not the correct call, but hey, I'm a n00b.
Wow. Node decks were already pretty underwhelming I think. That's a pity. :(
Ohhh, that's interesting! It will slow down Montgomery decks and also other decks that rely on an inversed toolbox. (Bye bye my Arcanist Warlord Banker Ultimate Deck)
It's all good though, as long as they get rid of Research Investment as well... ^_^
Were there any Research OTK decks in this tournament. If so, how were they handled?
I think this guy could help out this deck. He is another critter to help get some damage in as well. But what do you take out??
I like that idea!
Wouldn't adding Servile Centipede make this deck toolbox even better? It's a solid blocker by itself and can combo nicely with Inadequate Wand... What's your thoughts?
How about Servile Centipede then? A solid blocker that can further increase the toolboxing and does double the job with the Wand?
It really depends on the build and how important 1 vs 2 thresh is for your deck. Also, OC gets you deeper while Brainbath lets you ditch cards from your hand, and has the recure (which is a bit pricey IMO) again, I think it is just a taste preference. Anyone else have a more solid opinion as to why one should be used over another???
Is Obsessive Compulsion worth playing over Brainbath?
How do I get a Yarnmajig?????
For being a Common / uncommon deck this is amazingly fun to play. When i first built it I thought I would just try to see if one of these "peasant" decks were any good... this blew me away. It was better than I thought it would be AND it was a BLAST to play... and its SEED ONLY!!!!!!!!! how fun is that! with it being all seed / seed 2 and no rares.. it makes picking up the singles super cheap and easy to trade for.. great deck to build if you're on a budget.
Crest of Rage is pretty good-but not in the current Deck as it is - the Deck has nothing it wants to search for and has very few treshold needs right now- that would change if you add Gideon/Adriel because you would need 3xRage Icons Turn 1 then - and some 1ofs that you only want to draw in some matchups. Noble Sacrifice for Heroic Dead would be a good thing - the Violence is not as necessary - but it has close to no Downside and some nice benefits.
So take out Heroic Deed for 2 noble sacrfices is good? And I guess the Violences are obvious... is Crest really that good?
Theres a lot of room to work some nice Rares into the Deck. Gideon and Adriel would ad some cheap beaters but they would also need the addition of Violence and/or Crest of Rage. Noble Sacrifice is a great removal Tactic. Dragon Archer or Boilstorm would add more Character Control Elements. But you always would need to check what to put out for any of those or other cards. There is no worst set of cards that can be easily replaced for whatever you want to add (Heroic Deed might fit that role - but thats only 2 cards - and that has its uses as well).
I really like this deck. It is super cheap to build and with the right hand you can just blow your opponent away. What a fun, cheap deck! What can I add to this deck rare wise to make it even better?
nice article, hope to read more like that in the future.
I agree on Plunging Shriever being to good and being the most important card for the current metagame. I´m not totally convinced on Dark Awakening though. DA seems like a powerful card, but i don´t see it change the Metagame that much - if DA feels to strong it might be because of the cards you replay with it being to good in the first place. And basically DA is not a card that pushes Warlord over the Top, but is a nice card to splash for almost any Deck that likes to reuse its keycards.
There need to be a few more powerful rogue cards... Dark Awakening should have been banker or archanist.
I <3 Wanton and Wand!!
