Both players are at 3
Your opponent is attacking you with his One-legged Hopping Pogo-Bear
(Which he can not afford to lose). You have blocked with your Dragon Archer
and before damage is assigned he tries to Noble Sacrifice
your blocking Dragon. Picking his Surplus Soldier
and your Dragon Archer
.
He Has 1 resource open to make his Pogo-Bear
lose the Character Type.
Hint: Your opponent WILL pay the 1 to save his character from the first kill card you play.
You have a Noble Sacrifice
face down (already attached to your faction), 2 open resources and your own Surplus Soldier
.
In hand another Noble Sacrifice
, Crest of Rage
, Essence of Rage
, Skin Suit
, Perforate
, and Rage.
How do you save your Dragon
from being destroyed?

It can't be that easy
I will Noble Sacrifice my Surplus Soldier for my oponent's Surplus Soldier. My Noble Sacrifice will resolve earlier, leaving my oponent without the character to satisfy costs of Noble Sacrifice and it will fizzle.
Flip up your noble sacrifice
Flip up your noble sacrifice for your dragon and his bear, he pays 1 to remove character type, resolution => soldier and dragon dies, you attack with your soldier vs a tapped bear with essence for +2 attack for the game
this is the correct play to
this is the correct play to win the game, but the question is how to save dragon archer from dying, not how to win.
i'm pretty sure the solution they are asking for is:
flip noble sac > for your surplus soldier on to pogo bear.
opp responds with hide-away
you respond with skin suit.
skin suit resolves, pogo hide-away resolves, then YOUR noble sac resolves giving you 1 resource in soldier to hideaway before opponents sac resolves.
HOWEVER while this keeps dragon archer on the table he loses his character type. loosing skin suits effect so he cant turn back into a character anymore, hes just a card with no type in play, not a char/item, nothing. thus losing you the game.
it will not fizzle because
it will not fizzle because costs have been paid when the tatic was played. i picked the two characters. even if one is not there for whatever reason you still do all the effects you can. stop thinking magic.
I'm trying, but it takes time
